Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is continuously exerting efforts to increase access to healthcare services and has implemented many initiatives to meet the increasing demand for high-quality healthcare services in Qatar, according to HMC’s Chief Communications Officer Ali Al Khater, during a meeting at HMC with two members of the Central Municipal Council (CMC).
CMC members Engr. Jassim bin Abdullah Al Malki and Mr. Mubarak bin Furaish Mubarak Salem visited HMC to discuss healthcare-related issues and provide their feedback and recommendations in terms of increasing access to patient care services.
Mr. Al Khater welcomed the CMC officials’ comments and said these will inform HMC’s strategy for the development of its services. “We have been continuously implementing various initiatives as part of our commitment to provide the safest, most effective and compassionate care. The last few months have witnessed a significant increase in patients seeking care at HMC, and we have many ongoing efforts dedicated towards ensuring that each patient has prompt access to the care they need.”
He added that HMC’s world-class healthcare services have been recognized by many internationally leading organizations in healthcare quality.
The meeting was also attended by Nasser Al Naimi, Deputy Chief Quality Officer for HMC and Co-Director for Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI), who highlighted HMC’s leading role in the region in the provision of high-quality healthcare services, as demonstrated by the Academic Health System initiative which integrates research, education and clinical practice to improve patient care.
