This morning, Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Qatar Rehabilitation Institute (QRI) and Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) received an official Nepalese delegation. Led by His Excellency Mr. Upendra Yadav, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the visit is part of the Nepalese delegation’s participation in the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) 2018, which is taking place in Qatar this week.
His Excellency Mr. Yadav and the Nepalese delegation were accompanied by Mr. Mahmoud Saleh Al Raisi, Chief of Continuing Care Group at HMC; Dr. Wafa Al Yazeedi, Chairperson of QRI; and Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Jalham, Director of the ACC. During the tour of the new hospitals, which were officially opened late last year, members of the delegation learned about the world-class integrated rehabilitation services and technologically advanced patient-centered care provided by both healthcare facilities. The Nepalese delegation also took the opportunity to visit a Nepali patient who is currently receiving care at QRI.
