Dr. Robert Hoffman, MD
Medical Director of the Qatar Poison Center; Sidra Medicine
Dr. Hoffman is a medical toxicologist, pediatric emergency physician, and clinical researcher serving as the Medical Director of the Qatar Poison Center at Sidra Medicine. Dr. Hoffman completed his postgraduate training in pediatrics, medical toxicology, pediatric emergency medicine, and clinical research methods at teaching hospitals and universities in New York City. Regionally, he joined Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi to establish their Emergency Medicine residency training program, and has been in Qatar since 2014. Dr. Hoffman’s areas of clinical research include clinical efficacy and adverse events from medications used in emergency settings, competency of endotracheal intubation skills of various clinician groups, and pediatric poisoning. Dr. Hoffman publishes two textbooks and has over 200 peer-reviewed publications.
