Communicable Disease Center prioritizes staff engagement in creating a positive and supportive work environment through its unique task force, Nur Al Shams, which organizes activities aimed at enhancing staff experience. The Leadership Walk Rounds are held to improve communication between frontline staff and the leadership team. In addition, the integration of a Nutrition Awareness Program into the Staff Physical Wellbeing Program promotes a healthy lifestyle among staff members, while the ‘New Me’ Weight Loss Challenge offers personalized wellness plans to support staff members in managing their weight. In cultivating a culture of excellence in patient interactions, the Najem Award, Communicable Disease Center’s Staff Recognition Program, recognizes staff who excel in patient care based on feedback and comments. Similarly, Enaya and Daam Specialized Care Center celebrates its staff's dedication through the Residential Service Staff Recognition Day and the PCC Recognition Ceremony.

Ambulatory Care Center


Ambulatory Care Center continually fosters an environment conducive to professional growth and wellbeing, ensuring that the staff feels supported and valued through initiatives like the My Tree Project, Meet the Top Chef, and Lucktastic, which aims to boost morale and create a fun and light-hearted connections between leaders and staff. The dedication to excellence and patient safety is further recognized through the Al Jawda Awards, which honors individuals and departments that uphold the highest standards of quality and patient safety. The goal of creating a safe and high-quality work environment is demonstrated in the Safety Forum (Quality and Safety Begins Here, ACC Safety Forum), a platform that facilitates discussions on safety-related issues and implements strategies to enhance safety measures within the organization. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance and stress relief, the Discover Qatar Program, Ultimate Football Fan Zone Unit Decoration Competition and Celebration and the Al Tahadi 2.0 Creators Guild Art Exhibition were designed to entertain employees and use art as a powerful medium for expression.

Home Health Care Services’ Staff Rewards and Recognition Program is co-designed with the PFAC members. The nominated staff are recognized for their outstanding contributions during the monthly PFAC meetings, fostering a culture of collaboration and appreciation among the staff, patients, and members of the PFAC.

Private Nursing Services


Similarly, the Abrar Honor of Excellence Award at Private Nursing Services is a real-time recognition program that provides immediate feedback and appreciation to staff for their dedication, teamwork, and performance. It strengthens relationships among leaders, staff, patients, and families through direct and effective communication, with staff being recognized and rewarded based on predefined categories. Named in honor of Abrar, a pediatric patient who advocated for the Person-Centered Care culture in the community, the award commemorates her and her family's significant role in Private Nursing Services’ PCC journey and ongoing commitment to exceptional, compassionate care. The Golden Catch Project is a proactive approach aimed at enhancing staff awareness and compliance in reporting near misses. Furthermore, the recent partnership with The DAISY Foundation seeks to honor Registered Nurses who consistently exemplify core nursing values like courage, commitment, compassion, exceptional patient care, and integrity. The DAISY Award, celebrated for honoring outstanding dedication and service in nursing, is acknowledged at over 6,500 healthcare facilities and 31 nursing schools worldwide. In 2024, eight nurses from Private Nursing Services will be selected by the DAISY Award Council for this prestigious recognition.

Women’s Wellness and Research Center


The Point of Pride Award at Women’s Wellness and Research Center highlights outstanding achievements and encourages staff members to strive for excellence, recognizing those who embody compassion, excellence, and service. To address organizational challenges and opportunities, several initiatives that engage leaders directly with frontline staff were developed, including the Open Office Hours, which empowers staff to voice concerns, share ideas, and seek guidance directly from leadership, breaking down hierarchical barriers, and the Leadership Walk Rounds demonstrate transparency and collaboration, fostering trust and shared responsibilities for patient safety among administrative and clinical staff members.

Heart Hospital


In Heart Hospital, Leadership Rounds facilitate transparent communication among the healthcare professionals, patients, and leadership, cultivating stronger relationships and mutual understanding. The Golden Heart Award and Thank You Card initiatives recognize exceptional performance and provide patients with an opportunity to commend outstanding staff members. The Decompression Lounge inside Heart Hospital offers a tranquil setting for relaxation. Weekly Healthy Tips, distributed via email, promote staff wellbeing, while the Health Risk Assessment, conducted in partnership with the Department of Preventive Medicine, empowers staff to proactively manage their health.

Al Wakra Hospital


The La’ale Awards and Recognition Program and Smile of the Day Project, designed collaboratively with the PFAC members, aim to foster a warm and supportive atmosphere at Al Wakra Hospital. These initiatives recognize and celebrate staff who consistently exceed expectations, embodying Al Wakra Hospital’s core values: dedication, compassion, and excellence in person-centered care.

To deepen staff understanding of PCC practices, the Al Wakra Hospital has also introduced the Staff Awareness Program, which focuses on core principles such as Shared Decision-Making, Advance Care Planning, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), personalized care, and staff wellbeing. The hospital has established a comprehensive awareness framework, highlighted through a full-day PCC Awareness Campaign, which included detailed training sessions and departmental rounds, ensuring a hospital-wide embrace of the PCC values and practices.​
