Dr. Fatemeh Abbaszadeh
Dr Fatemeh Abbaszadeh is a consultant clinical scientist, Diplomate of the Royal Collage of Pathologists (DipRCPath), UK, and Head of the Hereditary Cancers and Rare Diseases Section of the Diagnostic Genomic Division, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Dr Abbaszadeh obtained her BSc in molecular biology, MSc in Medical Genetics, and PhD in Cancer Genetics from UK in 2006. Following 3 years research in cancer genetics at the Institute of Cancer Research, UK, she joined the diagnostic Molecular Genetics Laboratory at St George’s Hospital, London where she became a state-registered clinical scientist in molecular genetics. In 2015, she joined HMC, where she is actively involved in diagnostic and research activities of the Division.
