I have accumulated quite some experience meeting physicians, regulators and even industry worldwide, and discuss about biosimilars science, regulation and market (mainly Latin America and Middle East). I do so as Professor of Pharmacology / Academic Consultant of the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (public Spanish University) where I have held different professorship positions since 1988. I chaired the Medical School Pharmacology Department from 2005 to 2011. I hold a PhD in pharmacology. After pre- research training at Utrecht Pharmacy School (The Netherlands) and Southampton University Medical School (UK) I was admitted as a postdoc at Harvard Medical School (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical center - USA), I established, and still lead, my own research team on preclinical allergy and asthma; a field in which I have published international papers. I hold a Chicago University MBA (1999). As a faculty, I have studied biosimilars from the scientific, regulatory and market perspectives. Since 2008 I work as an academic consultant, and a speaker on biosimilars for private laboratories, and public organizations (activities developed in more than 20 countries.
