Ms. Arij Yehya is a Lecturer at Qatar University (QU), where she teaches first year seminar course and service learning that helps students develop critical thinking, time management, basic research techniques and broad range of other skills vital to success at university.
Within the fields of psychiatry and psychology she published the translation and adapted questionnaires to Arabic including Questionnaire of Psychotic experiences (QPE) and Positive and Negative Syndrome scale (PANSS).
She received the L’Oreal UNESCO for Women in Science Award Young Talent Middle East in 2022 for studying gender differences in personality traits across cultures.
She was awarded along with fellow colleagues from HMC and QU, national funding to investigate psychotic-like experiences, such as delusions and hallucinations, in the general population and compare these experiences to those reported by patients with psychosis.
