Mazen M. Dimachkie, MD
Mazen M. Dimachkie, MD is ABPN board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Neuromuscular Medicine and holds a UCNS certificate in Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology.
After being on faculty at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School, he is currently Professor of Neurology, director of the Neuromuscular Division at the KUMC, and director of the Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship.
He is also Executive Vice Chairman of the Neurology Department and Vice Chairman for Research Programs. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and a fellow of the American Neurological Association.
Dr. Dimachkie manages one of the busiest neuromuscular clinical trials units in North America which includes federally funded neuromuscular research studies and industry-sponsored studies, nationally and internationally.
He is a frequently invited lecturer on myositis, myasthenia gravis, LEMS, inflammatory muscle disorders, CIPD, Pompe disease, ALS, neuropathies, and other neuromuscular disorders. He has more than 200 publications, 300 meeting abstracts, and 29 book chapters.
