Prof Richard Assaker
Prof Richard Assaker is a highly experienced Spine Surgeon and
Head of Neurosurgery at Centre Hospitalier Regional Universitaire of Lille France.
He finished his Medical degree at Liège Medical University, Belgian in 1983, Neurosurgical Qualification, French Curriculum Lille University, CHRU Lille in 1991, PhD Thesis, University Lille 2, Option Biotechnology in 2001. He became a Professor of Neurosurgery in 2002. He has his qualification for Research Direction (HDR) in 2011.
He is a key member of the eccElearning Spine Surgery Education Programme faculty.
Also a designer and conceptor of surgical spinal instrumentation – ApoFix, Centaur and Zephir – that have been used in more than 25,000 operations worldwide.
His specialties include Use of O-Arm and minimally invasive techniques during surgery procedures, endoscopic spine surgery and complex spine surgery.
