Dr. Abdulrazig Salaheldin Hummaida

Dr. Hummaida is a Public Health and Disaster Medicine Specialist with more than 12 years of experience in both developing and developed health systems. Originally a dentist by training, Dr. Hummaida found his passion for public health after working as a research assistant (part-time) on an HIV-related project. After several years of field experience, he pursued public health training at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA) graduating in 2012. With his focus on public health preparedness to emergencies, he strived to receive certification in the field and completed the European Master in Disaster Medicine program in 2017. He currently works in the Health Emergencies Department in the Ministry of Public Health Qatar.

Having worked in different health programs, from infectious disease control to health system strengthening initiatives to emergency management, he appreciates the range of challenges within the healthcare system and strives to make a difference. His research interests include disaster management training of professionals and awareness raising within communities, with a special interest in the use of serious games as training tool and awareness raising tool.”
