Dr. Saifeldeen is the Director of Hamad International Training Centre (HITC) and a senior consultant Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Dr Saifeldeen obtained his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and subsequently completed the fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in the UK.
Dr. Saifeldeen is the national lead for health workforce training and education. Under his leadership, HITC has transformed into the region's busiest provider of inter-professional education programs with strong emphasis on educational quality and governance.
As part of Qatar's national health response to covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Saifeldeen was appointed the health sector lead for the lockdown of the old industrial area. The three months lockdown provided challenges together with learning lessons and opportunities including the establishment of a field hospital for the population living in and around the area.
