Dr. Gaba has more than 20 years of experience with CCT(UK) in Acute Medicine, Internal Medicine and Stroke Medicine. He completed his Stroke Fellowship in London. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, U.K and a Fellow of American College of Physicians. He is MRCP UK and Ireland Examiner. He is a former clinical lecturer for King’s College, London and Honorary Senior Lecturer for University of Leeds. He is Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for UAE University and Khalifa University UAE. He has a certificate in healthcare simulation from Centre for Medical Simulation affiliated with Harvard Medical school and Clinical Research Certificate from Khalifa University UAE.
He worked as Consultant Physician in Bradford, Yorkshire, UK where he received clinical excellence award and special commendation award for team of the year for Ambulatory care unit before joining in SKMC, Abu Dhabi as Internal Medicine Consultant. He is Stroke Lead and Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency at SKMC. He was recently appointed as RCPE Regional Advisor for UAE and Chair of Examiners for MRCP UK PACES Centre at Abu Dhabi.
He has more than 40 publications including a chapter in a book and more than 50 Posters and Oral presentations in National and International conferences.
His main interests include atrial fibrillation, stroke, VTE, medical education and clinical simulation.
