For the RSI workshop we will have 4 groups with each 4 participants and 4 tutors. For each of the groups of participants will be one anesthetist, one trauma surgeon, one respiratory therapist and one paramedic available. So the training will cover the below mentioned aspects, but in a unique one to one teaching. Therefore we will not have the lecturers as they are normally given.
The MV workshop will follow the RSI workshop, and will start right after the final coffee break. Thus, it will be a continuous 2 hour session (without a break) as the last part/session of the day
For this workshop, after the introduction and PRE-test, we will have 2 groups with 8 participants each, for the first 2 parts, and the whole group of 16 together for the 3rd part, followed by debriefing and POST-test
There are 4 educators (2 supervising & 1 senior Respiratory Therapist per small group). The 2 supervising educators will be: an Intensivist and a Certified Instructor for Mechanical Ventilation.
