Rescue and Resuscitation Airway Interventions in Emergency and Trauma

The delegates are taught about Basics of airway and advance airway management. Besides short lectures, NEAT programme stresses on ‘Hands On’ of each and every procedure with training on different simulators or mannequins. The faculty comprises of experts in difficult airway management who are managing these types of patients regularly. It consists of case presentations and discussions after the delegates are trained in all the procedures related to airway management.

After full 8 hours of strenuous workshop, the delegates are tested with post-test questionnaire. Successful participants are provided participation certificates signed from course director and other instructors. 

The procedures include airway anatomy visuals ,approach to patients with airway abnormality, supraglottic airways, laryngoscopy, videolaryngoscopy, rigid and flexible  fiberscopy. The procedures are mastered over oxygen therapy equipment in wards, emergency areas and in ICUs/HDUS or critical emergency areas to maintain the airway of the patients.

Target group: Post graduate students General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Obsetrics and Gynae, ENT 
Duration of Course: 1 day (8 hours)
Max number of participants: 40-45 per batch
Instructor: Student ratio: 1:5 (one instructor for five students)
Certification: Participants will be awarded a certificate of participation after post-test.
