Dr. Rashid Khalfan Salim Al Abri is an accomplished Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) medicine professional. He's a Professor and Senior ENT Consultant at the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Oman. Dr. Rashid is also Chairman of the ENT Scientific Council, Arab Board of Health Specialization.

Having been the first Omani ENT surgeon at Sultan Qaboos University, Dr. Rashid brings over ten years of experience as a surgeon and educator. He's proud to be a full-time professor and consultant, contributing significantly to the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Rashid is passionate about improving medical education. He successfully introduced online teaching methods at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Additionally, he leads the Medical Education & Informatics Department, actively participating in various committees within the university, hospital, and the Oman Medical Specialty Board.

In 2018, Dr. Rashid took on the role of Director at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Quality and Patient Safety Training, highlighting his commitment to ensuring high healthcare standards. His impact goes beyond teaching; Dr. Rashid is a prolific researcher with over 64 published journals and four book chapters. He has also been recognized in the academic community by serving on four editorial boards.

Dr. Rashid's work has been cited over 3000 times on Google Scholar. He takes great pride in being an educator, surgeon, and researcher, focusing on ENT, quality management, and patient safety.
