Dr. Abdulla Al Ansari, MBBCh, FRCSI, FRCSE
Chief Medical Officer for Hamad Medical Corporation
Dr. Abdulla Al Ansari is the Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation. Dr. Al Ansari is a medical graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his postgraduate training in various surgical subspecialties in the United Kingdom and Qatar.
Dr. Al Ansari specializes in urology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FRCSEd) & Ireland (FRCSI). Dr. Al-Ansari is the pioneer of robotic surgery in Qatar, and it was through his dedication and perseverance that robotic surgery became a standard procedure in Qatar.
He has served as the Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre (QRSC) Director at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). Dr. Al-Ansari won first prize in the 3D printing of organs at Texas AM University. Dr. Al Ansari is one of the few leaders in Hamad Medical Corporation with the New and Emerging Academic Leadership course (NEAL) in Toronto.
Dr. Ansari believes in high-quality patient care. Despite his demanding leadership role and clinical practice, he still takes time for his patients, research, publications, simulations, workshops, and conferences.
