Dr. Al-Dewik is a Director of Translational and Precision Medicine Research WWRC, Principal Investigator at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and A/Professor in Human Genetics, Genomic and Precision Medicine Program, College of Health and Life Sciences, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in the State of Qatar.
Dr. Al-Dewik was awarded his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Kingston University and St George’s Medical School, London, United Kingdom (UK) in Molecular Biology and Human Genetics.
Dr. Al-Dewik has successfully obtained several research grants funded by different funding bodies and secured up to USD $9 M between 2008 and 2023. His major research interests are in addressing high-priority maternal and neonatal health issues, such as preterm babies, sepsis, congenital anomalies, and cancer/leukemia.
Dr. Al-Dewik \has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and abstracts. He is a reviewer for many cancer and genetics journals. Dr. Al-Dewik is also a reviewer of several research grant bodies, such as The Research Council (TRC) of the Sultanate of Oman and Qatar University Internal Grants
