Prof. Wanis H Ibrahim, FRCP (Edin), FRCP (Glasg), FRCPI, FCCP, F (Pulm) Is a senior consultant internist and pulmonologist at Hamad General Hospital, Doha, Qatar and Professor of Clinical Medicine at Medical College, Qatar University and Weill-Cornell Medical College in Qatar. Prof. Wanis is a key figure in the medical teaching field due to his great contribution in teaching medical residents and students. He has received over 17 best teacher awards from different institutions. His book entitled “Short Cases in Clinical Exams of Internal Medicine” is now internationally recognized. He also has recently completed a book entitled “History Taking and Communication Skills for Postgraduate Clinical Exams” which is in the process of publication. He is a course director for the International Postgraduate Clinical Course at Doha Center of Clinical Excellence, Qatar. He has extensive publications in the medical field with particular interest in pulmonary medicine. He has mentored multiple research projects conducted by medical residents and fellows. Prof. Wanis has also received “The Stars of Excellence Award” twice from Hamad Medical Corporation. Prof. Wanis is an external examiner for the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK) as well as the Arab Board of Medical Specialization. He is also an ALS Instructor for the European Resuscitation Council and Hamad International Training Center. Prof. Wanis is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Pulmonary and Respiratory Medicine, the Journal of Allergy and Asthma, the International Journal of Medicine & Medical Sciences and Ibnosina Journal of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and Advisory Board Member of the Libyan Journal of Medical Sciences.
