Dr Muhammad Josheel Naveed is a Consultant Physician in Internal Medicine with an interest in Pulmonology at Hamad General Hospital since March 2018.

He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in 2002 before moving to the UK for post-graduate training in 2004. He completed his basic medical training and was awarded MRCP in 2007. Following this, he underwent extensive specialty training in Respiratory and General Medicine in Mersey Deanery (UK) and was awarded with CCT in Respiratory and General Medicine in November 2013. Since then, he was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in St. Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust UK.

Dr. Naveed has acquired wide ranging experience in medical education and training. He is the current Royal college examiner for MRCP PACES since 2015 and previously held positions as IMPACT course trainer and faculty. He had been a recognised teacher and an examiner for Medical students in OSCEs and LOCAS medical professional examinations for Liverpool University. He had also been the firm lead for 2nd year and supervisor for 5th year medical students during their placements at the Trust.

Dr. Naveed had been a clinical and educational supervisor for Foundation trainees, Core Medical trainees and Respiratory Medicine Specialty Registrars. He has also held the position of Royal College of Physicians London associate college tutor and provided valuable support to the college tutor and trainees within the Trust. 

He was also the departmental Governance (safety and quality) lead and clinical lead of Smoking Cessation services for the Trust.
Dr. Naveed has been involved in publishing in peer-reviewed respiratory journal, wrote a book chapter and has extensively presented his work in European Respiratory and American Thoracic Society Conferences.
