Dr. Linzette D. Morris, PhD

Dr. Linzette Morris is the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and an Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy, at Qatar University.
Holding a PhD from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, Dr. Morris has dedicated nearly 18 years to physiotherapy, either as a clinician (mostly in the musculoskeletal field), academic or researcher (mostly in the pain sciences and disability field).
In addition to her BSc and MSc physiotherapy-related degrees, she also holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology.
To date, Dr. Morris has authored nearly 30 publications as well as three book chapters and has presented at over 20 international and local conferences.
Prior to joining Qatar University in August 2019, Dr. Morris was a faculty member at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her primary teaching responsibilities include pain science, research methodology and global health.
Her main research interests are in pain science, cross-cultural adaptation of outcome measures, disease epidemiology/measurement, global health and musculoskeletal disorders as well as the human/economic value of rehabilitation.
She has collaborated with a number of institutions in South Africa, Europe, UK, USA, Australia and locally in Qatar, and has been involved in government commissioned projects in both South Africa and Qatar.
