Sheena Maria John Pediatric Physiotherapy Specialist HMC, Qatar Sheena Maria John is a Pediatric Specialist Physiotherapist working at the Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation in Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, Doha.
She is a graduate in Physical therapy from Rajiv Gandhi University, India and has over 20 years of experience working exclusively in pediatric rehabilitation.
Her expertise is in analyzing the kinematics and kinetics of standing and walking, particularly in addressing atypical gait patterns in children with neuro-motor disability.
The analysis helps in prescribing customized orthosis and developing tailormade exercise regimen to improve endurance and promote optimal skeletal growth and biomechanical alignment in children with disabilities.
She is currently running the Visual Gait Analysis and Orthosis Prescription project in QRI which uses low cost and easy to implement approach towards orthosis perception and targeted gait training for enhancing ambulatory skills among children with disabilities in Qatar.
Her commitment is to further simplify the process of accurate orthosis prescription, which are accessible and adaptable worldwide; thereby setting a benchmark in the field of pediatric rehabilitation, paving the way for a brighter future for families across the globe
