Dr. Sara Adel Salim is a Hematopathologist with over 27 years of expertise in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. She holds an MBChB from Al Mustanseryia University, College of Medicine, and a FICMS (Fellow of the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization), the highest credential in Hematology.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Sara has served in key leadership roles, including Head of the Transfusion Medicine Division and Head of North Area Laboratories at Hamad Medical Corporation. In these positions, she oversees technical, administrative, and operational functions, leads quality improvement initiatives, and provides vital clinical consultations.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Dr. Sara is deeply engaged in research and professional development. She is an active member of renowned organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapy (AABB) and the HMC Corporate Transfusion Committee.
She continues to strengthen her expertise and contribute to the field through ongoing education and development, delivering seminars and lectures that reflect her commitment to professionalism, medical ethics, and advancing Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
