
Dr. Rasheed Mazhar
Dr. Rashid Mazhar, a highly accomplished Cardio-thoracic surgeon, graduated from Dow Medical College, Pakistan, and obtained surgical fellowships from Edinburgh and Glasgow in the UK. With training in Cardio-thoracic surgery at Harefield Hospital, London, a prominent center in the field, he currently serves as a senior consultant Cardio-thoracic surgeon at HMC. Dr. Mazhar specializes in minimally invasive and Robotic Thoracic surgery, with a strong emphasis on teaching, research, and innovations.
His passion for merging medicine with technology is evident in his collaborations with engineering colleagues to develop user-end-driven solutions, particularly in automation, objective monitoring, and user-friendly signal processing. Dr. Mazhar's research projects at HMC and Qatar Foundation have secured numerous grants totaling more than 2.5 million USD.
