Elaine is currently the Chief Risk Officer for the Stanford Medicine enterprise, comprised of 2 academic medical centers (adult and pediatric) and a community based teaching hospital along with a large affiliated physician network. Prior to her tenure at Stanford Medicine, Elaine was systemwide risk officer for a large healthcare system in the NY metro area, a risk management leader for a 45 hospital system in the western states, VP of Risk of a large professional liability insurer and started her career as an administrator in a large academic medical center where she built her strong foundation in operational and strategic enterprise leadership. Elaine currently serves on the Board of the Hawaii Captive Insurance Council and the ASHRM Board and has been involved as an ASHRM committee leader and member since the dawn of time!
