He was the first Omani ENT surgeon in the Sultan Qaboos University and has more than a decade of experience as both as a Surgeon and Educator.
Dr. Rashid is currently a full-time professor and senior ENT consultant the department of surgery of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. Among his stellar achievements includes:
- Implementation of the online teaching in the medical education and informatics
- Chairmanship and membership to committees across Sultan Qaboos University and Hospital and the Oman Medical Specialty Board
- Directorship of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Quality and Patient Safety Training since 2018
- Published more than 64 peer reviewed journals, 4 book chapter and sat at 4 national and international editorial boards. In google scholar, he has been sited more than 3000 times.
These are just a snapshot of his abundant achievements, he is most proud to be both an educator, a surgeon and a researcher with passion in the field of ENT, quality management and patient safety.
