Dr. Nemanja Damjanov
Dr. Nemanja Damjanov is a full Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Belgrade Medical School. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists of Serbia and of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Serbian Medical Society. He previously served as Director of the Institute of Rheumatology in Belgrade, Serbia, and is currently a Consultant Rheumatologist at MediGroup Hospital in Belgrade.
Prof. Damjanov has held several key roles within EULAR, including General Secretary and Chair of the EULAR Standing Committee on Education and Training (ESCET). His scientific work focuses on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSUS) in Rheumatology. He served as a lecturer and instructor at 12 EULAR MSUS Courses, five EULAR Teach-The-Teachers (TTT) Courses, and 24 EULAR scientifically endorsed regional MSUS Courses across Europe and South America. Additionally, he was Executive Director of 10 EULAR scientifically endorsed regional MSUS courses.
His research interests include scleroderma, capillaroscopy, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and sonography in rheumatology. Prof. Damjanov has published more than 144 papers in reputed journals. He has served as the Editor-in-chief of “Acta Rheumatologica Belgradensia", was Associate Editor of “Rheumatology (Oxford)", and is currently a member of the editorial board of “Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases" and several other journals.
