Ms. Sameera Al-Balushi is an Anesthesia nurse educator II with 20 years of experience in Hamad General Hospital. She holds a master's degree in nursing leadership; and earned her bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing from the University of Calgary. Her nursing career started as a Staff Nurse in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit then worked her way up in various roles. In 2018 she had a fundamental role in the implementation of the first preoperative nurse-led clinic at HGH. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Qatar in 2021, her leadership played a vital role in the successful management and implementation of the national massive Qatar Vaccination Centre which facilitated a seamless delivery of safe and quick COVID-19 vaccine to the largest portion of the population. Ms. Sameera has presented at numerous national conferences and published various studies as principal investigator.
