Dr. Nurhan ElShafey is a Clinical Pharmacist at Hamad Medical Corporation’s Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC), where she has served since 2017. She has extensive experience in high-dependency and intermediate-care obstetric settings, providing specialized clinical support for complex maternal cases, multidisciplinary decision-making, and high-risk medication management. 
As the Pharmacy Representative on the WWRC Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee, she leads the development of obstetric hematologic disorder guidelines and standardized treatment templates, working closely with hematology, obstetrics, and anesthesia teams to ensure evidence-based, safe, and cohesive care pathways. 
in 2019, Dr. Nurhan also led the Smart Infusion Pump Implementation Project in WWRC, focusing on enhancing medication safety and optimizing infusion workflows across maternal services. 
She is an active preceptor with Qatar University’s College of Pharmacy, mentoring PharmD students, developing OSCE materials, and advancing clinical education. Her research spans obstetrics, infectious diseases, and Pharmacoeconomics. 
She is currently pursuing an MBA in Healthcare Management at the University of Roehampton, United Kingdom.
