Dr. Ruba Mahmoud Shaker, PharmD, BCPS
Staff Pharmacist, Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC)
Dr. Ruba Mahmoud Shaker is a Staff Pharmacist at the Women’s Wellness and Research Center, holding a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Lebanese University. She has been a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) since May 2025.
Ruba joined Hamad Medical Corporation in 2019 as a contingent pharmacist at the Communicable Disease Center during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to frontline clinical care. In 2020, she transitioned to the Women’s Wellness Research Center, where she currently practices.
She has completed the Indiana Pharmacy Teaching Certificate (IPTeC) program through Purdue University, reinforcing her commitment to clinical education and professional development.
Ruba’s expertise includes intravenous admixture services and neonatal total parenteral nutrition (TPN). She is actively engaged in multiple quality improvement initiatives and has a growing interest in antibiotic stewardship and medication use evaluation, ensuring optimal antibiotic use that directly enhances patient safety and care outcomes.
