Dr. Sara Hayder Ahmed is a Clinical Pharmacist at Al Wakra Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
As a clinician with over a decade of experience in internal medicine pharmacy, she has led key initiatives as the coordinator of the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Clinic, advancing patient care.
She has championed interdisciplinary, award-winning collaborations and quality improvement initiatives. She was the first pharmacy resident in the HMC PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program and has since taken on the role of Residency Program Coordinator, contributing to the program’s success and ongoing ASHP accreditation.
Beyond pharmacy postgraduate training as a residency preceptor, she is actively involved with Qatar University; her roles have included Teaching Assistant, Adjunct Clinical Lecturer, PharmD Preceptor, Assessor, and various academic activities.
Dr. Sara has made multiple significant research contributions and was awarded HMC Stars of Excellence in research. She recently earned a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education, aligning her clinical expertise with academic and research excellence.
