Dr. Saffa Elawad is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). She earned her medical degree from Ahfad University in Sudan and later relocated to the United Kingdom, where she completed her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in both Nephrology and General Internal Medicine through the London Deanery in 2014.
Dr. Saffa Elawad holds dual master’s degrees in Kidney Transplantation Science and Clinical Transplantation from the University of Liverpool, UK. She also obtained the Specialty Certificate in Nephrology from London, reflecting her advanced expertise in renal medicine and transplant care. Her academic and clinical accomplishments are further supported by her commitment to continuous medical education.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), and the American College of Physicians (FACP). In addition to her clinical role, she contributes to postgraduate education as an MRCP UK PACES examiner.
