Dr Sohel M. G. Ahmed, MBBS, FCAI, FJFICMI, DESA, EDIC, PMP, ASQ-BB
Dr Sohel M G Ahmed is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensive Care Physician in Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar and an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell University (Qatar). He graduated from the University of Khartoum (Sudan) and carried most of his higher training in UK & Ireland, where he proceeded to work as a consultant anaesthetist before moving to Qatar in 2015.
Dr Ahmed is currently the Program Director for the Anaesthesia Residency Program in Qatar.
Dr Ahmed is a Fellow to the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland, the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care in Ireland, The European Society of Anaesthesiologists, and the European Society of Intensive care Medicine. Dr Ahmed currently serves as an examiner for all these boards.
Dr Ahmed has authored a few publications and book chapters. He is a peer reviewer of a number of medical journals. His research interests include medical education, quality and patient safety, perioperative medicine, and neuro-intensive care.
