Dr. Yasir Ahmed is an Arab Board-certified anesthesiologist since 2011. He completed his training at HMC, where he obtained his subspecialty training in Anesthesia for Neurosurgery and Maxillofacial surgery. His clinical areas of expertise also include management of the difficult airway, trauma, and regional anesthesia.
Being responsible for the departmental staff management, Dr. Ahmed played a central role during the pandemic in providing expert front-line anesthesia support to the COVID-19 hospitals and intensive care units across the state of Qatar without compromising the state-of-the-art anesthesia care provided to all patients.
Dr. Ahmed has particular interest in medical education. He is the associate director of Anesthesiology residency program at HMC since 2017 and a member of the Arab Board for Health Specialization in Anesthesia and Intensive Care scientific committee since 2018.
Dr. Ahmed’s research interests include neuro-anesthesia, airway management and medical education.
