Born in Cairo, Professor Eteiba is the first international medical graduate to become President in the College’s history

He has served the College for more than 20 years - most recently as our International Director and previously as Vice President (Medical). He has also held posts including President of the Scottish Cardiac Society, Director of the Heart, Lung and Diagnostic Division and Associate Medical Director of the Golden Jubilee University National

Hospital and Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow.

Professor Eteiba recognises the responsibility to speak out on health and workforce

issues to ensure the highest possible standards of healthcare for hard working medical professionals.

Professor Hany Eteiba PRCPSG is a renowned frontline interventional cardiologist. He has played a leading role in developing, teaching, training and conducting clinical research in Interventional Cardiology, gaining internationally recognised clinical expertise and a respected profile in education and training in this field.
