
Dr. Rola Al Emam
Safeguarding the Health and Care Workforce: Global and Regional Perspective
Dr. Rola Al-Emam is a Technical Officer at the World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office supporting 22 countries in the region. Dr. Al-Emam has over 14 years of experience in WASH, climate change, occupational health and healthcare waste management. She has contributed to several WHO documents in her areas of work. She holds an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (USA), an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Healthcare from Long Island University (USA), and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan (Jordan).
In the area of OH, Dr. Alemam is providing technical support and guidance to countries in the region to improve OH of workers, with a focus on occupational safety and health of health workers.
