Dr. Charmaine D'Souza
Since 2006, Dr. Charmaine D'Souza is the Doctor-In-Charge at Al Khor Community Medical Center (AKCMC), a Qatar Gas-operated Primary Health Center serving 15,000 individuals from 60 countries. Prior to working at Qatar Gas, she was with Women's Hospital at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
Dr. D'Souza completed her MD in OB-Gyn in 2000, following which, she attained MRCOG and MRCGP qualifications. She also has a degree in Occupational Medicine LFOM. Being in-charge of a primary healthcare facility, she conducts in-house training for nurses and mentor new doctors to ensure that they meet both behavioral and technical competency requirements. In addition to her OB-Gyn specialty, she has an active interest in community health and lifestyle medicine.
