Dr. Mohammed Rizwan is an accomplished and highly skilled surgeon with a specialization in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. His extensive training and experience are reflected in his achievements, having obtained the prestigious Arab Board of Specialization in General Surgery, followed by the MRCS (Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons) from the United Kingdom. 

He further honed his expertise by pursuing a fellowship in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar, where he has been an integral member since 2003, currently serving as a consultant in the field.

Dr. Rizwan’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice. His active involvement in education, research, and community outreach demonstrates his commitment to advancing the field. He is a respected speaker at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, where he teaches and mentors future medical professionals. 

His research has been widely recognized, with publications in esteemed journals such as the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Additionally, Dr. Rizwan has been a key figure in improving the quality of healthcare in Qatar. He has played a pivotal role in earning the Centre of Excellence designation for Al Wakra Hospital in Bariatric Surgery, which has become a trusted institution for obesity-related surgeries, especially for local nationals seeking high-quality treatment.

His leadership extends to the Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery Fellowship at HMC, where he serves as the Director of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery Fellowship. Through this position, he is shaping the future of surgery by mentoring and training the next generation of experts in this specialized field.
