Welcome to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP). The DLMP is the referral laboratory for the State of Qatar, with a bulk of our work supporting clinicians in Hamad Medical Corporation. We undertake diagnostic testing, which ranges from automated rapid response testing to evolving genetic assays. The department is also responsible for ensuring Qatar’s blood supply and for its mortuary service. Our staff work in close partnership with nursing for point of care testing and also support HMC's screening programs.
