The 27-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is located at the new surgical service facilitaty adjacent to Hamad General Hospital provides multi-disciplinary evidence based critical care to post-operative patients with life threatening conditions or unstable, severely ill patients who require frequent monitoring and potentially require intensive intervention or ventilation for to 65 patients per month.
We work closely with other intensive care units and all specialties in Hamad General Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation for the transfer, admission, discharge, referral, diagnosis and treatment of patients, to ensure we deliver the safest, most effective and compassionate care to each and every one of our patients.
