The Case Management Department was specifically established to monitor the necessity for and appropriateness of extended lengths of hospitalization and the quality of this interface.
Our department strives to improve the case management process through the following:
- Bed management
- Timely admission of patients
- Timely discharge of patients
- Improved transfer of patients from the Emergency Department to an inpatient bed.
We work closely with all specialties in Hamad General Hospital and our network of hospitals for the transfer, admission and discharge of patients. We also work closely with Primary Health Centers and private hospitals and clinics.
