Dr. Antonio Valentin MD, PhD is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Epilepsy in the Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (King's College London) and has been working for the last 23 years at the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at King's College Hospital. His main clinical and research interest is intraoperative monitoring and brain stimulation for the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. He has several national and international grants in different research aspects related to epilepsy. He has co-edited the book "Introduction to Epilepsy" (Cambridge University Press 2012), and he is the co-director of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) VIREPA EEG Advanced Course for EEG in the Diagnosis & Management of Epilepsy. He has more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has given frequent lectures at international congresses mainly in the subject of epilepsy and brain neuromodulation.
