Mohamed Kasem, BSc, MSc
Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Mohamed Kasem is a clinical pharmacist at Heart Hospital, Qatar. He received his bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences in 1999 from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. 

He has long clinical experience as he was a senior pharmacist at the Armed Force Hospital in Saudi Arabia until 2010. Thereafter, he joined HMC. He also completed master’s degree in clinical pharmacy in 2013 from Queen’s University in Belfast UK. He also received Anticoagulation Therapy Management Certificate from University of Southern Indiana (USI) in July 2014. 

Dr Kasem have several publications and his research areas of interest include warfarin effectiveness, pharmacogenomics, Heart failure. Dr. Kasem is also greatly involved in establishing several clinical pathways and protocols while reviewing policies and guidelines. In addition to participating in some quality improvements. he strives to make education of new staff and Pharm-D candidates as engaging and accessible as possible to create a patient centered care
