Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Reem Elajez, is an Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist at Hamad General Hospital and an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University. Dr. Elajez earned her Doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD) from Qatar University in 2013. She is a board certified infectious disease pharmacist and credentialed HIV pharmacist from American Academy of HIV Medicine.

Dr. Elajez has provided pharmacotherapy services for both the antimicrobial stewardship and adult infectious diseases consult team and serves as a preceptor for both HMC PGY1 pharmacy residents and PharmD students from Qatar University. Dr. Elajez has presented her research abstracts at regional, national, and international levels and has published several manuscripts in peer reviewed journals. 

Dr. Elajez’s clinical research interests include optimization of antimicrobial dosing, medication safety, and pharmacogenomics. Currently, she holds the role of Pharmacy Research Officer at HGH, contributing significantly to pharmacy and infectious disease research.
