Nervana Elbakary is a clinical pharmacist who works in Mental health Services, HMC in Qatar. She is part of the women wellness multidisciplinary team and the virtual women mental health helpline.
Nervana is using her career experiences to help female patients overcome perinatal mood disorder and provide them with the support they need when it deemed unavoidable to use medications during the pregnancy and breastfeeding periods.
She knows there is no single approach that works for everyone, so she continues to educate herself on emerging therapies and pharmacological trends to provide the most comprehensive counseling program that works for each of her patients’ individual needs
Nervana holds a bachelor’s in pharmacy from Egypt. She also holds American board of Psychiatry degree from USA. She is an avid researcher with post graduate diploma in clinical research from Harvard University, and her work has been published in Asian journal of psychiatry and BMC psychiatry.
