Dr. Hameed is a Senior Consultant Pulmonologist at Hamad Medical Corporation, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. He is the Associate Program Director of pulmonology fellowship training at HMC. As the lead transplant physician, he assisted in the successful establishment of Qatar's lung transplant program.
Dr. Hameed qualified and trained in the UK. He served as a college tutor for the Royal College of Physicians UK, and as an academic tutor and honorary university fellow for the University of Plymouth.
He has several peer-reviewed publications and has received national and international honors, including the PrescQIPP National Award 2017 (UK) for his work in COPD.
