Dr. Jonathan took up his current post at Sidra in December 2015. He completed both of his degrees in physiology and medicine in London (1987) at St. Bartholomew’s Medical College.
He completed his training in obstetrics and gynecology in London and Wessex and spent almost three years as a research fellow at St. Thomas’s Hospital in London investigating specific aspects of the endothelium in preeclampsia. This research work was published in high profile International journals (AJOG and BJOG ).
He practices both clinical obstetrics and gynecology. His main obstetric interest is hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and from a gynecology perspective he is a sub-specialty trained urogynecologist but is particularly interested in minimal access surgery.
Before making the move to Qatar, Dr Jonathan worked as an NHS consultant (obstetrics and gynecology) for15 years in Ashford in the UK.
Currently, Dr. Jonathan is a committee member of the Sidra Research Group and Simulation Group.
