Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncologist
Primoz Petric, born 1971, is a senior consultant and clinical lead at the Department of Radiation Oncology, NCCCR, HMC.
He is a Master of Science and is compling his PhD thesis. From 2007 to 2012, he was Head of Brachytherapy Department at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana and he was Assistant at the Medical University of Ljubljana.
He is a scientific collaborator in the international Gynecological GEC ESTRO group and member of faculty at the international ESTRO school and teacher/course director at other periodic international courses, organized by the Medical University of Vienna, Medical University of Aarhus and International Atomic Energy Agency. He authored or co-authored numerous publications, including peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, invited lectures at international conferences, chapters in medical books and conference abstracts.
He is a reviewer or section editor for seven international peer-reviewed journals and an officer in several national and international professional committees/societies. His main clinical and research fields are gynecological and urological oncology, contouring uncertainties and development of brachytherapy applicators. He has co-authored or led the development of on-line tools for e-learning and software applications for contouring analysis / tumor mapping.
