Dr. Dia Ageib is a consultant of Emergency Medicine and head of the department in Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal Hospital for the National Guard in Dammam City, KSA. He obtained his FRCS in Accident and Emergency Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh, and his European Master in Disaster Medicine (EMDM) in 2011. He also has his sub-specialty training in Clinical Toxicology at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center in the USA and graduated in 2011. He also got his Mini-Fellowship training certificate in critical care from the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh, KSA in 2007. He worked in different hospitals in Saudi Arabia in the emergency department. Currently, he is the program director for Emergency Medicine Diploma at his hospital which is accredited by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS). He and his colleagues have founded the emergency medicine residency program in Sudan in 2009 and he was a member of the emergency medicine board. In addition, he was a member of the scientific council of the emergency medicine board, Arab Board. In 2017, he introduced the ATLS course to Sudan and recently has introduced the TEAM course and the bleeding control course as well. Being the ATLS Chair of Sudan Chapter he is working very hard to improve the trauma services in Sudan.
