Dr. Galwankar is a graduate of the University of Pune India. He did his residency and was board certified in Internal Medicine & Emergency Medicine from India and the United States of America, respectively. 

He serves as the Academic Faculty for Emergency Medicine at the Prestigious Florida State University in addition to holding the rank of Director for Research in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Sagar’s career of over two decades is studded with the successes of multiple paths breaking global initiatives in International Medicine, Public Health and Policy development. 

In addition to innumerable publications, presentations, citations and awards, Dr. Sagar has successfully led the establishment and indexing of International Journals such as Journal of Emergencies, Trauma and Shock, Journal of Global Infectious Diseases, International Journal of Academic Medicine and International Journal of Critical Illness and Injury Sciences.

He was the leading force behind the establishment of The American College of Academic International Medicine and The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine and serves on their boards.

His Leadership in bringing Academic Emergency Medicine to India and the development of Government recognized Emergency Medicine Residency Programs via the INDUSEM Mission is well known in the Academic Fraternity of Emergency Medicine.

The Dr. Sagar’s Global Doctrine of “No Politics Only Academics” focusses his interests in areas of Acute Medicine, Injury Sciences, Global Health Diplomacy, Emergency Preparedness and Health Sustainability.
