Ms. Asma Younus​​
Clinical Nurse Specialist, NCCCR
Asma Mohammad is an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR). Currently, she is working with the Cardio-Oncology service at NCCCR and is the Lead for the CNS team in NCCCR.
Previously, she worked as a CNS for the palliative care service; her vast experience in cardiology began in 2002 as a frontline nurse, charge nurse & head nurse in various cardiology units at the Heart Hospital.
She obtained a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Calgary in 2015 and a Leadership for Change program certificate in 2017. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in Genomic and Precision Medicine at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar
She is a member of various corporate nursing and midwifery committees, including the Corporate Advanced Nursing and Midwifery Practice Network. Also, a member of the Nursing Research & Education Committee- International Cardio-Oncology Society. Previously, she worked with the University of Calgary-Qatar as an Adjunct professor for the graduate students. Her research publications focused on cardiology, palliative & nursing.
